Author's note 

KAWAGUCHI CHINAMI 

自然豊かな長野で生まれ、高校時代には多摩美術大学出身の美術の先生のもと、美術部でデッサンから油絵まで幅広く学びました。その後、武蔵野美術大学に進学し、油絵を専攻。学生時代から韓国の文化に関心を持ち、留学を経て韓国に定住し、教育現場で学生の指導に長年携わってきました。

数年前、公募展での受賞をきっかけに本格的に作品制作を再開。個展や団体展を通じて韓国の作家の方々との交流を深めながら、創作活動を続けています。

芸術は国境を越え、人と人をつなぐ架け橋となる――その信念のもと活動を広げています。　　　

자연이 풍부한 나가노에서 태어나, 고등학교 시절에는 다마미술대학 출신의 미술 선생님 밑에서 미술부 활동을 하며 데생부터 유화까지 폭넓게 배웠습니다. 그 후 무사시노미술대학에 진학하여 유화를 전공하였고, 학생 시절부터 한국 문화에 관심을 가져 유학을 계기로 한국에 정착하여 교육 현장에서 오랜 시간 학생들을 지도해 왔습니다.

몇 년 전, 공모전 수상을 계기로 본격적으로 작품 제작을 재개하였으며, 개인전과 단체전을 통해 한국 작가들과의 교류를 깊이 있게 이어가며 창작 활동을 계속하고 있습니다.

예술은 국경을 넘어 사람과 사람을 잇는 다리가 된다는 신념 아래 활동의 폭을 넓혀가고 있습니다.

Born in the nature-rich region of Nagano, I was actively involved in the art club during high school, learning a wide range of techniques from drawing to oil painting under the guidance of a teacher who graduated from Tama Art University. I later entered Musashino Art University, where I majored in oil painting.

Since my student days, I have had a strong interest in Korean culture, which led me to study abroad in Korea. Afterward, I settled there and have been involved in art education, guiding students for many years.

A few years ago, winning an award in a public art competition inspired me to fully resume my creative work. Through solo and group exhibitions, I continue my artistic practice while deepening exchanges with Korean artists.

Believing that art transcends borders and serves as a bridge connecting people, I continue to expand my activities based on that conviction.
