Conjuring Balance explores the space between enchantment and vulnerability in a world marked by ecological and social imbalance. A rabbit, surrounded by darkness, holds a wand — not as a symbol of power, but of possibility. The surrounding blackness suggests uncertainty, unrest, or the unknown. Within this tension, the hare emerges as a quiet symbol of attentiveness and openness to change. The work invites reflection on what kind of empathy — or magic — might be needed to envision a just and sustainable future.

Biography
Hege B was born in Norway. She pursued her passion for visual storytelling and completed a Master of Fine Art at Kyungsung University in Busan, South Korea, in 2017. She currently lives and works in Norway, where she is a PhD candidate in Person-Centred Health Care. The intersection between art and health care forms a dynamic foundation for her work, with both disciplines informing and challenging each other.
In her artistic practice, Hege B is drawn to narrative structures and existential, social, and material forms of resonance. Her paintings often emerge as quiet reflections on what it means to be seen, relate, and belong. Through abstraction, she seeks not to explain but to evoke, inviting viewers into a space of shared contemplation and subtle connection
